Presstek Momentum RIP
The feature-rich Momentum RIP delivers the reliability, flexibility, and excellent color quality required by today’s print shop. Momentum is designed to drive Presstek
CTP and DI systems as well as ABDick branded CTP systems. Momentum also
comes complete with input and output mechanisms that allow maximum flexibility for controlling jobs. Momentum is based on the fast, reliable, high-performance Harlequin RIP technology that has been in use for over 15 years.
Options
• In-RIP Trapping
TrapPro is an object and vector based in-RIP trapping program. The main features include auto-chokes super blacks, small text protection raster to raster trapping sliding traps, mitered ends and feathered traps.
• In-RIP Imposition
Mstrip is an affordable simple imposition program. This program is a perfect fit for imposition requirements for DPM and Vector TX52 market.
• Proofing Plug-ins
Momentum supports a wide variety of proofing options, including the most popular ink-jet proofers from Epson. Adding a proofing plug-in to Momentum closes the color loop ensuring data integrity. The same RIP used for proofing and final output to plates.
• FM Screening
Momentum Pro’s FM screening is based on Harlequin’s HDS (Harlequin Dispersed Screening). This screening technology is a perfect fit for Presstek 34DI and 52DI presses. HDS creates images with increased sharpness with a continuous tone appearance.
• CIP3
The CIP3 output plug-in enables Momentum to produce Print Production Format (PPF) files containing information about print jobs, including administrative data, information about inks, and preview images.
PDF Workflow Upgrade
The Momentum RIP can be upgraded to a PDF workflow. Protect your initial RIP investment by adding the Momentum Workflow option. Momentum Workflow, an entry-level PDF workflow solution with Momentum RIP provides the same features and benefits as Momentum Pro. Momentum Pro increases productivity, manages your workflow, and helps reduce costs. An intuitive interface allows multiple operators to manage their work from any Windows or Macintosh workstation on the network. Drag and drop functionality, in addition to traditional job submission methods, make Momentum Pro very simple to use. It is modular, expandable and includes PDF creation, preflight controls, and the ability to incorporate Certified PDF.
