Where do these attitudes, experiences, beliefs and values come from? They come from our people. Presstek’s unique culture began with the founders of our company – true pioneers in digital imaging technology – whose vision, innovation, spirit of collaboration and teamwork developed a technology that changed the market. As we grew, our people brought new experiences, beliefs and values to our company. Today, vision, collaboration and teamwork are still important to us, but equally important are a strong commitment to our customers, shareholders and co-workers; efficiency; responsibility and accountability. Internally, Presstek’s employee-run Recreation Committee’s mission is to encourage employee interaction and teamwork, increase employee morale and instill feelings of cooperation and well-being within the company. From annual holiday celebrations to summer outings, the Recreation Committee’s goal is to provide fun events year ‘round for all of Presstek’s employees.
Presstek also views social responsibility as an integral part of its business. The company’s Community Service Initiative is dedicated to helping improve the quality of life in the communities where our employees live and work through volunteerism, donations and leadership. The Community Service Committee supports national U.S. organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters and the American Red Cross, as well as local non-profit organizations such as soup kitchens, children’s homes, and other organizations chosen by the employees in the various communities in which Presstek is located. To further the company’s commitment, Presstek provides a Community Service Leave, or eight hours of paid time off for employees to serve the community. The people of Presstek are a generous bunch…whether it’s raising funds for the Employee Crisis Fund, giving blood or volunteering their time…there’s never a lack of people willing to help out.
